How a rebuild job runs in Buildistor

From the carrier’s first file to the last day on site, it’s one job in one app.

Scope and selections

  1. The carrier inspects the house, prices the structure, and sends an itemized “as is” replacement list.
  2. The estimator imports the file, or enters the lines by hand, and flags each line the homeowner has to choose.
  3. Each flagged line gets three buyable options. The homeowner picks one, or brings their own link, cost, and store. Anything over the allowance is a homeowner chargeback.

Quotes and code upgrades

  1. The contractor collects sub quotes for the trades, such as electrical and HVAC.
  2. The estimator takes the local code-upgrade difference back to the carrier at present-day cost, or records that the homeowner had already upgraded that part of the house.

In the field

  1. Once the quotes are in and the permit is issued, the company assigns a project manager and carpenters, and subs by trade.
  2. The scheduler books carpenters by the half day, day, or week. Project managers hand tasks to subs or to a specific carpenter.
  3. On site, everyone checks in with the time and location, and uploads photos of the day’s work.
  4. At the end of the day, carpenters, subs, and the project manager log their time and what got done.

What stays elsewhere

  • Contents photos and the homeowner’s itemized contents list live in Organized Inventory.
  • The carrier’s estimating program stays the system of record for the carrier price. Buildistor imports the list, tracks selections and production against it, and exports the delta.
  • Contents negotiation with the carrier stays between people.
